Aum Spa beckons in soft evening light.

The Aum Spa at the Crimson Hotel Resort in Mactan Cebu is an oasis that needs to be discovered. On my trip to Cebu, I was pretty amazed at how beautiful the spa is. It was just breathtaking. It was as if I had been transported to another world. It had accents from Bali, Thai influences, with touches of Filipino design elements. For starters, the lobby is decorated with furniture from Cebu’s very own, internationally known furniture designer, Kenneth Cobonpue. The design for this 2,000 square meters spa heaven is by the Architectural and Interior Design firm of Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG) from California, USA.

There are 14 therapy rooms, some of which have their own Jacuzzis, and outdoor shower. My favorite is a villa suite with a double bed perfect for couples and an outdoor shower, and your own bath tub. The villa is surrounded by a carefully planned garden that truly transports the guest to an ambience like no other. There are three outdoor pavilions, perfect for yoga and other group activities. There are also three outdoor cabanas with very chic furniture. To add to the charm of Aum spa, there are eight indoor therapy rooms. There are separate changing/shower rooms for male and female, each  with its own sauna and steam rooms which are perfect for detoxifying .
Aum Spa has unique Signature Massages like the Transition to Transformation treatment. There is also the signature Hilot massage, which is a true blue Filipino treatment that has been garnering attention from foreigners as a result of the country being developed for medical tourism.

Aum Spa uses luxurious Australian products from Pevonia for its Water Lily After-Sun Wrap treatment, which is best for those with sun burnt skin. The anti aging treatment of  Pevonia Water Lily Facial produces a wonderful glow.  I came out with my face so smooth that I wished it was a more permanent after effect. The Pevonia Papaya Pineapple Saltmousse Glow is also another treatment to try using Pevonia’s luxurious line that aims to scrub out dead skin cells, giving the skin a glow and a soft to touch finish.
I cannot wait to go back to Cebu and one of the reasons is because I want to lose myself again in the oasis that is the Aum Spa.
